Graduate of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from The University of Auckland, Chirag Jindal now works as an artist and creative entrepreneur.
Chirag’s thesis project “Into the Underworld” explores the subterranean lava caves of Auckland through 3D scanning with LiDAR and visual modelling. The project was awarded a gold pin at the Designers Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) Best Awards in 2016. The technology Chirag worked with in this project is the basis for his ongoing work.
The foundation of Chirag’s practice is freedom. In this video he shares his joy in having no typical day, and the merits of being a creative entrepreneur in a “young” country like New Zealand.
